There’s something enchanting about being up early, especially with the onset of and throughout winter when even the sun hasn’t woken up yet. It’s peaceful yet energising, fertile ground for creativity. There’s no one to disturb you. It’s as if even all your troubles are still slumbering, leaving you to wallow in a cocoon of contentment.
There’s no emails, no phone-calls, no questions, requests or demands.
There’s an electricity coursing through those early hours, a promise of achievement, of success, as if everything – your mind, your body, your soul – is in perfect balance.
Anything seems possible, the possibilities truly do seem infinite; all you have to do is choose what you would like to do and on days like this,
I always choose writing.
